Encroachment is an extremely strong word that together with its more popular synonyms populates our society. A series of typographical exploration is presented here to serve as a memento on its meaning.

Exercices de style to explore different potential typographic solutions in order to bring to life, in a unique way, a meaning or a concept. For instance, the word encroachment in this project is often treated as the mere victim of encroachment itself.
Exploring the meaning even further, the whole piece becomes a metaphor for verbal encroachment. Possibly one of the highest forms of intrusion is the one over free speech, which represents since centuries ago one of the human conditions to strive for.
